AI / Automation
Making AI work in everyday operations.
Based in Ishigaki, in Japan's Yaeyama Islands, AFTTT helps teams put AI, automation and custom applications to practical use. We start by understanding the work, not by choosing a tool.
Approach
Start with the work, not the AI.
We look at how people actually work, where time is spent and which decisions need human judgment.
Then we separate tasks suited to generative AI, deterministic automation or a dedicated application. Sometimes the right answer does not involve AI.
Common Requests
When to get in touch
- The same information is copied by hand every day.
- A process stops when the person responsible is absent.
- You want to use AI but do not know where to begin.
- You've tried ChatGPT or Claude but cannot fit them into daily operations.
- An introduced tool is not being used by the team.
- Spreadsheets and email are no longer enough.
Forward Deployed Engineering
Understand the work. Then build.
Rather than waiting for a complete specification, we begin with the real workflow. We identify problems, design a small system, implement it and refine it as people start using it.
This is close to the approach known as Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE); it describes how we work, not a formal job title or service certification.
AI / Automation / Apps
Choose the right method
- Generative AI
Use tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for drafting, summarizing, classifying and organizing information, with human review where needed.
- Workflow automation
Automate repeatable steps such as notifications, data entry, reporting and document creation. We avoid AI where fixed rules work better.
- Business applications
Build a focused web application for recording, sharing or finding information when email and spreadsheets are not sufficient.
Process
Our process
- 01 — Observe
Understand the real workflow and recurring bottlenecks.
- 02 — Organize
Separate repeatable tasks from decisions requiring judgment.
- 03 — Choose
Decide whether AI, automation, an app or a combination fits best.
- 04 — Build
Implement the smallest useful part first.
- 05 — Use
Test it in everyday work rather than only in a demo.
- 06 — Refine
Adjust the system as the team and workflow evolve.
